City Hall will be closed this week, reopening Monday, to give employees time off for the holidays. The holiday furlough was originally instituted as a cost-saving measure but has continued because City Hall is typically not busy this week and many employees take the time off anyway, City Manager Don Vestal said. Municipal employees are required to use vacation or sick days to get paid for their time off.
