FOOTBALL
Alemany High has decided not to make a final appeal of the decision for the football team to move to the Division I Del Rey League next fall.
“We took it as far as we could,” Athletic Director Dudley Rooney said Monday.
Alemany will be forced to play in the Del Rey with St. Paul, Loyola and Bishop Amat for the next three football seasons. The school made an appeal to the Catholic Athletic Assn., but it was rejected.
Another appeal was possible to the Southern Section Council at a meeting Jan. 28, but Rooney said that was unlikely.
