Confidential 24-hour help is available to victims of domestic violence through the Domestic Violence Safety Plan Hotline.

A variety of services are offered, including crisis counseling, legal referrals, counseling referrals, information on financial issues and referrals to one of 23 shelters in Los Angeles County where women and their children can stay for free for up to 30 days.

The service is also for men who are abusive or are being battered.
