Philly Is Where It’s at for All-Star Jones

This was the in-between All-Star game for Eddie Jones. In between the thrill of his first one, in Cleveland in 1997, and, he hopes, the one in Philadelphia, his adopted hometown, in 1999.

New York in 1998 was nice because he was able to see some family and friends, some of whom know him best from the Temple days. But it was mostly just that. Nice.

“I think it was more exciting last year,” Jones said.

Or, maybe he was simply storing energy in preparation for next year. For that possibility, to play an All-Star game in Philadelphia, the Laker shooting guard already is getting excited.
