China’s top sports official says his country will bide its time in deciding whether to bid for a future Olympic Games. “We will select the most appropriate time [to bid] according to the domestic and international situation. So whether it is in 2008, 2012 or 2016 will depend on the actual situation,” Wu Shaozu, member of the Communist Party Politburo and head of China’s National Olympic Committee, told Kyodo News.
