Tips on Traveling on the Cheap
Looking for America’s cheapest weight-reducing spas? How about doing Las Vegas on (almost) $0 per day? Arthur Frommer, the budget-travel guru who has been writing guidebooks for 41 years (Remember “Europe on $5 a Day”?), has started a new quarterly magazine to answer these queries.
Arthur Frommer’s Budget Travel Magazine, whose inaugural spring issue went on newsstands last week, deals with “low-cost affordable travel” in a market dominated by “aggressively upscale” magazines such as Conde Nast Traveler, Frommer said.
The magazine’s newsstand price is $3.95--the same as Conde Nast. Yearly subscriptions are $14.95. Information: (212) 564-2630.
