Pilot Who Died in Helicopter Crash Identified
LITTLEROCK — Coroner’s investigators have identified the victim of a helicopter crash in a remote area near Palmdale as La Canada-Flintridge resident Lynn Ansley Efting, 66.
Two motorists told authorities of the crash on cellular phones Thursday afternoon after they saw the helicopter fall from the sky near Mount Emma Road and 72nd Street East.
Federal Aviation Administration officials said the helicopter was a two-seat Robinson-22.
The cause of the crash has not been determined, and is being investigated by National Transportation Safety Board officials who began searching through the wreckage Friday.
