Trimedyne Inc.: The Irvine manufacturer of medical lasers reported a net loss of $5.8 million, or 53 cents a share, for the fiscal year ended Sept. 30, compared with a net loss of $4.7 million, or 47 cents a share, for last year. Revenue was down slightly to $9.3 million from $9.4 million. The net loss for the fourth quarter was $1.3 million, or 12 cents a share, compared with a net loss of $1.7 million, or 15 cents a share, for the like period last year. Revenue was up 17% to $2.8 million from $2.4 million.
