Buena Park 67, Whittier Pioneer 65--Deandre Gipson’s layup with four seconds left gave Buena Park the victory. Gipson scored 27 points, including 16 in the second half, and had four steals for the Coyotes (8-6).
Capistrano Valley 47, Edison 37--Mike Stowell and Josh Garrett scored 10 points each in a victory for Capistrano Valley. Zach Kilian scored 10 points for Edison (8-5).
Century 59, Orange Lutheran 46--Mike Zepeda scored eight points in the second quarter as Century (12-3) extended its lead to 17. Zepeda finished with 15 points, eight rebounds and four blocks.
El Toro 83, Trabuco Hills 77--Mark Wulfemeyer scored 32 points to lead El Toro (10-5). Teammate Nick Robertson scored 11 points and had nine rebounds.
Jason Richards scored 14 points and had nine assists for El Toro.
Irvine 66, Dana Hills 53--Chris Ferguson scored 14 points in the second half to lead Irvine (11-4). Ferguson finished with 19 points.
Todd Pittman scored 17 points for Dana Hills (9-6).
Loara 71, Anaheim 39--Martin Banda scored nine of his 13 points in the first quarter as Loara (12-3) jumped out to a 23-8 first-quarter lead. Brian Brennan led the Saxons with 15 points. Jelani Parham scored 14 and Tru Nguyen had 13 for Anaheim (6-7).
Mission Viejo 44, Santa Ana 38--Joey Reid scored 19 points and Jake Fitch had 11 in the victory for Mission Viejo (6-8).
San Clemente 97, Westminster 65--Joe Tatala scored 23 points and had 11 rebounds to lead San Clemente. Semaj Johnson scored 20 points and Mitch Pierce had 19 for the Tritons (9-6).
Kenny Sato scored 10 points for winless Westminster.
Villa Park 61, Chino Don Lugo 54--Alan Verzani scored 18 points, including 10 in the fourth quarter, and he grabbed 13 rebounds, seven on the offensive end, for Villa Park (10-5).
Alex Will made four of eight three-point attempts and finished with 17 points for the Spartans.
