Southland Economy Is Not Yet on Track
“Will the Party Last?” [Dec. 28] was full of wonderful news about the economy in Southern California.
Alexandra Rand of Internal & External Communication made a statement to the effect that her company reviewed 23,000 resumes for 100 positions in the last year. That single statement should tell anyone who can read that the economy here isn’t great, no matter what the media says.
The unemployment rate in Los Angeles is still among the nation’s highest, regardless of all of the end-of-the-year “happy talk.”
