States Streets Area Will Get New Trees
In an effort to beautify the area, purify the air and increase property values, volunteers Saturday will plant trees in the States Streets neighborhood.
ReLeaf Costa Mesa will plant 70 trees along Colorado, Dakota, Idaho, Michigan and Nebraska streets. This is part of the organization’s plan to add 2,000 trees citywide by 2000.
ReLeaf is a nonprofit organizations committed to planting, protecting and preserving trees within the city.
Volunteers will meet at 9 a.m. in the Tewinkle School parking lot. If it rains Saturday, the event will be rescheduled for Feb. 21.
