Gonzaga 93, Loyola Marymount 62--Matt Santangelo scored 15 of his game-high 20 points in the first half leading Gonzaga to an easy 93-62 victory over Loyola Marymount in a WCC opener at Loyola.

The Bulldogs (12-4) used a 19-0 run midway through the first half to take a 25-14 lead. Gonzaga held the Lions (4-9) without a field goal for 11:39 as they took a 42-25 halftime lead.

The Bulldogs outscored the Lions, 15-4, to start the second half and led by no fewer than 23 points for the remainder of the game.

Four Bulldogs scored in double figures, with Bakari Hendrix scoring 17 points, Axel Dench adding 13, and Casey Calvary scoring 10.

The Lions, who were 17 for 62 (27.4%), were led by Ben Ammerman with 16 points.
