Odetics Inc.: The Anaheim supplier of digital-data-management products and communications equipment lost $206,000, or 3 cents a share, for the third quarter ended Dec. 31. For the comparable period in 1996, the company earned $774,000, or 12 cents a share. Sales rose 16% to $24.3 million from $20.9 million.

In October, Odetics spun off ATL Products Inc. As a result, the results of ATL are reported as discontinued operations for the month of October only in the most recent quarter, compared with a full quarter’s results for the third fiscal quarter of the previous year.

Nine-month net income totaled $626,000, or 9 cents a share, compared with net income of 2.9 million, or 44 cents a share, for the corresponding three quarters a year ago. Sales gained 16% to $67.9 million from $58.3 million.
