Emulex Corp.: The Costa Mesa manufacturer of computer network products said net income for the second fiscal quarter ended Dec. 28 climbed to $1.1 million, or 18 cents a share, from $487,000, or 8 cents a share, for the corresponding period a year ago. Results for the second quarter of fiscal 1998 included a $188,000 income tax benefit related to a tax-sharing agreement with a former subsidiary. Revenue declined 4% to $15.5 million from $16.1 million. For the six months, the company recorded net income of $1.7 million, or 27 cents a share, contrasted with a net loss of $454,000, or 8 cents a share, for the same period a year ago. Revenue was down 5% to $30.5 million from $32 million.
