6 to Run for Council; 2 Will Vie for City Clerk Post
Six candidates for the City Council in Culver City and two for city clerk have filed to be on the April 14 ballot, officials said Monday.
Seeking election to two council seats are Richard Brundo, Carol Gross, David Hauptman, Theodore J. Smith III, Robin Turner and incumbent Edward Wolkowitz. The other incumbent, Mike Balkman, cannot run because of a city ordinance that limits council members to two terms, said Deputy City Clerk Ela Valladares.
Candidates for city clerk are Donald Perlick and incumbent Tom Crunk.
The city will sponsor an informational meeting Feb. 5 for all candidates to ask questions of city staff. The public can attend. The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. in Conference Room 1A, City Hall, 9770 Culver Blvd.
