Microsemi Invests in Xemod

SANTA ANA — Microsemi Corp. said it invested $1 million in Xemod Inc., a Sunnyvale designer, manufacturer and marketer of power amplifier components for the cellular and wireless communication markets.

The investment will give Microsemi a 19% stake in Xemod, a Microsemi spokesman said.

Microsemi supplies power semiconductors and other products for the electronics, computer, telecommunications, space, defense and medical markets.
