A single-engine Cessna plane made an emergency landing on a Yorba Linda residential street Tuesday night after experiencing engine trouble, officials said.

The plane’s two occupants, both Orange County residents, were on their way from Riverside to Fullerton Municipal Airport when they were forced to land on Fairmont Boulevard just north of Yorba Linda Boulevard, a California Highway Patrol officer said.

Neither of the two men was injured in the landing, officials said. The plane struck a tree, a pole and the fence next to a horse trail, police said, and forced two cars off the street, but nobody was injured in either vehicle.
