Your views on the impact of welfare reform causing legal immigrants to go hungry demonstrate the fallacies in our current immigration policies. Immigration is heralded because America supposedly grew to its stature through this marvelous melting pot, opening its shores to the talents of the world. What is wrong with our current immigration system that the quality of legal immigrants is such that they can’t feed themselves in this land of plenty? Are we importing tax burdens or talent?
