City Attorney to Speak at Residents Meeting

Los Angeles City Atty. James Hahn will discuss law enforcement and city legal battles, among a number of issues at Tuesday’s meeting of the Studio City Residents Assn.

Hahn will speak about the Laurel Promenade, Studio City’s homeless and transient population and a possible lawsuit by the city against expansion of Burbank Airport.

“Hahn has really had an impact on the lives of people in Studio City,” said Tony Lucente, president of the residents association.

Also on the agenda is a talk by John Caprarelli, Los Angeles police department senior lead officer for the area, on the partners against crime program.

Appointed and elected charter reform committee commissioners are also scheduled to report on progress.

Updates also will be given on a planned self-storage facility at 11570 Ventura Blvd., the proposed McDonald’s restaurant at Coldwater Canyon Boulevard and Moorpark Avenue, and effects of the merger of Ralphs and Hughes grocery stores.
