Jewish Home Receives $1.2 Million in Drive
The Los Angeles Jewish Home for the Aging in Reseda received more than $1.2 million in contributions thanks to the efforts of a Beverly Hills-based real estate investor.
Richard Ziman and 20 members of the Marilyn and Monty Hall Statesman’s Club in Reseda recently donated $750,000 to help provide support to the facility’s 750 residents, said Michael Turner, a spokesman for the Jewish home.
In addition, Ziman issued a challenge to the community to match the amount. The response was an additional $565,000, bringing the total to $1.26 million, Turner said.
“The Ziman family is interested in a lot of Jewish causes, and the Jewish home is one of those causes,” Turner said. “His efforts will go a long way in making a difference for our residents.”
Ziman, whose donation was $300,000, was honored for his dedication and support of the facility during the 12th annual Marilyn and Monty Hall Statesman’s Club black-tie dinner last week. He was presented with a humanitarian award by the club.
