Hiker Finds Body of Woman in Shrubbery in Front of Home
A hiker found the body of a woman in the shrubbery of an affluent Rancho Palos Verdes home Tuesday, authorities said.
The body was found in front of a home on Seacove Drive about 6:30 a.m. Los Angeles County sheriff’s detectives identified the body as that of Jennifer Marie Pierre, 21, of Carson. Authorities have not determined how she died, but said there was trauma to the upper body. Sgt. Dan Raimo said detectives were investigating several leads.
“This is very strange for this area, but at nighttime it’s real dark down there,” Raimo said. “There’s a lot of deserted area nearby.”
