Garuda Indonesia Airlines this weekend suspended its thrice-weekly service between Los Angeles and Bali. Spokeswoman Cheryl Grant, in Los Angeles, said Garuda has been the only commercial airline providing direct LAX-Bali service. Although Los Angeles residents have been booking the flights, fewer Indonesians are traveling due to the decline of their currency, she explained. The airline plans to resume the flights June 1, if economic conditions improve, she added. Information: (800) 342-7832.
