No Need to Sneak Past Guards to Set Foot on These Celebrity Driveways

SPECIAL TO THE TIMES

Sure, there are tons of celebrity addresses published on the Web. But who knows if they are real or bogus? Besides, you would have to actually leave your computer in pursuit of those questionably accurate addresses, which misses the point of the Internet altogether and presupposes that you are, in fact, not a shut-in. Why leave the warm glow of your computer screen when snooping around is as easy as flexing a forefinger?

If you’re not necessarily a celebrity stalker but you do enjoy getting inordinately close to those who employ personnel to make sure no one gets that close to them, you are bound to enjoy a visit to Driveways of the Rich and Famous (https://www.driveways.com/), a Web site attached to a cable access TV show in which host John Cunningham (don’t call him a stalker; he is quick to take offense) does all the nosing around.

The Driveways Web site proudly proclaims, “See the grease spots of your favorite stars!” Indeed, oil leaks are, in fact, the great equalizer. Not only does Cunningham snap pics of the roadways to the domiciles of the prosperous and renowned, he walks right up to their neighbors and employees and inquires as to the personal habits of the stars. You can take a gander at Zsa Zsa Gabor’s Bel-Air abode, Siegfried & Roy’s splendiferous Las Vegas gateway or the Beverly Hills driveway formerly known as Prince’s.

But the purposeful crusader Cunningham does not rest within the confines of the West Coast showbiz hangouts. He has ventured to Connecticut to loiter in the approach-way to Martha Stewart’s home and gardens (where he was arrested). He has traveled to Nashville to see Dolly Parton’s stately habitation. You can read the transcripts of exclusive, personal, no-holds-barred interviews with Kathie Lee Gifford’s neighbor’s housekeeper, Diana Ross’ neighbor’s gardener, not to mention Madonna’s exterminator. Consummate professional that he is, Cunningham asks the tough questions. To Woody Allen’s reticent doorman, he inquires, “Do you swing the door any differently for a celebrity than you would for me or something?” At the apartment building of Mary Tyler Moore, he uncovers the deliveryman’s shocking disclosure, “She’s the cheapest one I’ve ever seen in my life!”

If you remain unsated after virtually treading on the very same asphalt as the legends of Hollywood, perhaps you need to pry a little closer. There are a host of sites on the weird wild Web where demi-fetishists feature the feet of the rich and famous. Peek at the tootsies of starlets and models at some Solomon’s celebrity feet (https://www.celebrityfeet.tierranet.com/). See Elisabeth Shue shoeless. See Sheryl Crow’s toes (https://www.geocities.com/Holly wood/Set/3359/). See Mark Wahlberg’s bad dogs (https://www.geocities.com/WestHollywood/5323/). Should you prefer a little tease with your toes, you might want to check out the shod feet of celebrities. At White Socks Central (https://www.geocities.com/WestHollywood/7854/) you can view the lily white arches of stars.

For the hard-core feet enthusiasts, there are sex and fetish sites, but for those who are more quirky than kinky, these other sites should suffice.
