Jutras Has Hat Trick and Ice Dogs Win, 5-3

Claude Jutras had the first hat trick of his career Sunday night as the Long Beach Ice Dogs beat the Chicago Wolves, 5-3, to remain alive in the International Hockey League’s Western Conference finals.

After winning their second game in a row, the Ice Dogs trail in the best-of-seven series, 3-2, with Game 6 scheduled for Tuesday night in Long Beach.

A seventh game, if necessary, would be played in Long Beach on Thursday night. No team in the history of the IHL playoffs has ever won after losing the first three games.

The hat trick by Jutras was the first in Ice Dog history during the playoffs.
