A woman and her two small children were injured Tuesday afternoon when a pickup truck jumped a curb and struck them, police said.

The driver apparently lost control of the truck, which hit Sulena Castaneda, 20, as she was walking north on Harbor Boulevard in Santa Ana with her two children at 3:35 p.m., Santa Ana Police Cpl. Don Bray said. The truck also hit a parked van and a wall, witnesses said.

Castaneda was taken to UCI Medical Center in Orange with a fractured left arm, bruises and scrapes, Bray said, and was listed in fair condition Tuesday night.

The children--a 3-year-old girl and a 9-month-old boy, had minor injuries, authorities said. They were treated and released to their father, who had been walking with them but was not injured in the accident.

The driver, 30-year-old Etire Pascal Tabu of Anaheim, was driving without a license but was not arrested, police said. The accident is under investigation.
