Robinson and UNLV Talking

Former USC coach John Robinson met with Nevada Las Vegas Athletic Director Charles Cavagnaro about the school’s football coaching job earlier this week in Las Vegas. UNLV is seeking a replacement for fired coach Jeff Horton.

“It was, ‘I’m going to listen.’ But they could offer him some ludicrous amount of money that might get anybody out of retirement,” a source close to Robinson said.

Attempts to reach Robinson were unsuccessful.

Robinson, 63, was fired at USC last season after a 6-5 season. He has a 104-35-4 record as a college coach, his 100th victory coming last season against UNLV.
