Harkham Industries, a designer and manufacturer of women’s clothing and shoes, bought a 120,000-square-foot industrial building at 4890 Alameda St. in Vernon for $4.3 million from Pan Metals Corp. of South Korea. Bart Pucci of Grubb & Ellis, who represented both the buyer and seller, said Harkham will relocate its operations from a building at 1157 Crocker St. in the downtown Los Angeles garment district to the Vernon site, which will serve as a corporate headquarters as well as a design and distribution facility. Pucci said the owner of Harkham Industries, Uri Markham, will retain ownership of the Crocker Street building as an investment.
