Sandpiper Networks Announces Executive Team

Sandpiper Networks in Westlake Village, a provider of Internet distribution services to Web publishers, has put together its executive management team.

The team will be led by Leo Spiegel, president and chief executive officer. He is joined by company co-founders Dave Farber as chief technology officer and Andrew Swart, vice president of engineering.

Other team members are Joe Eskew, vice president of sales; Tom Govreau, chief financial officer; and Gerald Kobelski, vice president of network services.

Sandpiper is backed by several venture capital firms, including Los Angeles-based Brentwood Venture Capital and Media Technology Ventures, and Mission Ventures in San Diego.

“This team is going to help Sandpiper become an established leader in the Internet space,” Spiegel said. “Each member comes to Sandpiper with a proven track record of success with cutting-edge technology companies and individual expertise in areas that are critical to our success.”

Spiegel has more than 15 years of business and information technology experience. Before joining Sandpiper, he founded several technology companies and served as senior vice president and chief technology officer of Donnelley Enterprise Solutions, an information management firm.

Sandpiper will begin operations later this month.
