Free Screenings for Prostate Cancer Offered

In recognition of National Prostate Cancer Awareness Month, Daniel Freeman Memorial Hospital will offer two free screenings for the disease this month.

Prostate cancer, which usually occurs without symptoms, is the most common form of cancer in men. The Prostate Cancer Education Council recommends that all men ages 50 to 70 be screened for the disease.

Men with a family history of prostate cancer are urged by the council to be screened after they turn 40.
