State College Offramp to Close Today
The southbound Santa Ana Freeway offramp at State College Boulevard and The City Drive in Orange will close today as part of ongoing construction.
Motorists will be detoured to the westbound Garden Grove Freeway to The City Drive offramp.
The closure will allow construction of a temporary southbound offramp to Manchester Avenue, providing motorists access to State College, The City Drive and Chapman Avenue.
Work will begin soon on an under-crossing at Orangewood Avenue to connect the east and west sides of the interstate. This work is expected to be completed in early October.
The improvements are part of the $1.1-billion Santa Ana Freeway project through Orange, Anaheim, Fullerton and Buena Park. Major features include car-pool lanes and ramp upgrades.
