* William F. Reardon Jr.; Real Estate Executive
William F. Reardon Jr., a 34-year Ventura County resident, died Aug. 30. He was 73.
Reardon was born Dec. 8, 1924, in Los Angeles. He graduated from Cathedral High School in Los Angeles, where he was captain of the football team. Reardon attended St. Mary’s College in Moraga in Contra Costa County and then UC Berkeley, where he also played football.
During World War II, Reardon served in the Marine Corps in the South Pacific. After the war, he worked in real estate sales and development. In 1954, Reardon moved to Ventura.
Reardon’s family described him as a loving husband, father and grandfather. Reardon was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Bernice Johnson Reardon, a pharmacist.
He is survived by his son, Daniel F. Reardon of Ventura; a sister, Margaret Reardon of Van Nuys; a grandson; and two nephews and three nieces.
Joseph P. Reardon Funeral Home in Ventura is handling the arrangements.
A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date, the family said.
