Maybe Dodger Problems Aren’t Really Minor

I read that the new Dodger general manager, Kevin Malone, is slated to make changes in the minor league system.

Does he not remember the Dodgers’ five consecutive rookies of the year? This is all a result of the minor league system. Mike Piazza, Hideo Nomo, Eric Karros, Todd Hollandsworth and Raul Mondesi all came from the minor league system.

I just think it is a sad commentary about the way that organizations are run today. In with the new and out with the old. . . . Is that really what baseball is all about, with no loyalty to staff and players?
