The city will celebrate the arts all week long beginning Sunday. The Recreation and Park District and the Cypress Celebrates the Arts Committee have planned several events that embrace and encourage the creativity of its residents, organizers said.
Youth are the focus Sunday at the Children’s Hands-on Art Pavilion, which features 60 craft booths, artist demonstrations, and a youth art and creative writing exhibit. The free event will be held in the Community Center, 5700 Orange Ave. Local artists will display their works throughout the community beginning Monday with the Art in Public Places program.
