The City Council is accepting applications for eight seats on four commissions. The Planning, Recreation and Parks, Cultural Arts and Traffic Safety commissions will each have two vacant positions July 1. Each term is two years. One recreation seat must be filled by a high school student; those interested in that seat should contact their principals for a recommendation. Incumbents may request reappointment. Applications must be filed by 5 p.m. June 4 at the city clerk’s office in City Hall, 401 E. Chapman Ave. Residents can pick up applications from the city clerk. Information: (714) 993-8231.
