Reinhart New President for ASL

* Douglas J. Reinhart has been appointed president and chief executive of ASL Consulting Engineers in Irvine. He succeeds Zareh G. Astourian, who retired. For the last six years, Reinhart was chief operating officer and senior vice president.

* Tricia Evans has been selected to head Saddleback College’s division of business science, vocational education and work force development. Evans had been associate dean of business at South Seattle Community College for seven years.

* James H. Ferguson has joined Veterinary Pet Insurance Co. in Anaheim as chief financial officer. He was previously vice president and chief financial officer for American Contractors Indemnity Co. in Los Angeles. Ferguson has also been vice president, treasurer and controller for Colonial Insurance Co. in Anaheim, a wholly owned subsidiary of Nationwide Mutual Insurance Co.

* Eric Flynn has been named senior project manager for R.D. Olson Construction in Irvine. He had been project manager since joining the company in 1996. Before that, Flynn was with Dinwiddie Construction.

* Kazu Takaki has been appointed dental director, quality management, for Western Dental Services Inc. in Orange. Before joining the company, he was regional dental director for Cigna Dental Health, and before that, directed dental quality management for FHP Inc.

* Don Ewert has joined Whittlesey-Doyle real estate advisors and land brokers in Irvine as a broker. He was formerly head of the land division at Grubb & Ellis. Ewert will focus on the San Diego County market.

* John A. Jarboe has been named executive vice president, marketing, in the life insurance division of Pacific Life Insurance Co. in Newport Beach. He has been senior vice president. Jarboe joined the company in 1982 as regional vice president, agency. Cameron Cosgrove was appointed vice president in the life insurance division. He had been an assistant vice president, information services.
