College Foundation to Sponsor Concerts

The Ventura College Foundation sponsors a benefit concert series from 6 to 8 p.m. every other Saturday through September at the outdoor stage on campus, 4667 Telegraph Road. Brother Orphan will perform Saturday, followed by Bob Jones on Aug. 21, Acadiana on Sept. 11 and Blues Stew on Sept. 25. Road Rally to Raise Funds for Needy Children

Salsa Music Festival at Lake Casitas

The California Salsa Music Festival, sponsored by the Ventura-East Rotary Club, will be held from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Aug. 28 at Lake Casitas, off Highway 150, outside Ojai. Along with music there will be salsa dance instruction, dance contests and food. Ojai Inn Presents Golf, Tennis Classic

The Ojai Valley Inn & Spa will host the 10th annual Golf & Tennis Classic Aug. 30 at 905 Country Club Drive, Ojai. Proceeds from the tournament will benefit St. John’s Regional Medical Center and St. John’s Pleasant Valley Hospital. The entry fee for the golf tournament is $450, which includes breakfast, lunch, a cocktail reception and dinner; or $750, which also includes overnight accommodations and a spa treatment. Transplant Group Plans Lunch, Golf Event

The Ventura chapter of Transplant Recipients International and the Dumont-UCLA Transplant Center will host its inaugural Organ and Tissue Donor Awareness Luncheon and Auction from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sept. 10 at the Sherwood County Club, 320 Stafford Road, Thousand Oaks. Links Benefit for Ventura Youth Club

The 16th annual Golden Oaks Invitational Golf Tournament, a benefit for the Boys & Girls Club of Ventura, will be held Sept. 13 at the Saticoy Country Club, 4450 N. Clubhouse Drive. Family Services Event to Feature LPGA Pros
