Prostitution Ring Targeted in 3 States

Police launched raids in Minnesota, Missouri and Illinois to smash a prostitution ring run by five brothers who controlled girls as young as 14 with beatings and rapes, authorities said. The ring operated from coast to coast and was “as close to modern slavery as you can get,” Det. Joe Delia of the Maryland Heights, Mo., police said at a news conference in Minneapolis. Authorities detained 50 women and six people identified as pimps.
