Under the category of “least persuasive testimonials,” Aliso Viejo-based Emaildirect Inc., a direct marketing company specializing in e-mail coupons, posts on its Web site glowing reviews of the company’s service from anonymous Hotmail, America Online and Earthlink subscribers.

Call me naive, but I can’t recall a junk mail sender ever getting fan mail.
