COMMERCIAL REAL ESTATE : DEALS
* Star-Kist Foods Inc. signed a 10-year, $10.5-million lease with landlord Space Center Inc. for 317,000 square feet of industrial space at 13521 Santa Ana Ave. in Fontana. Star-Kist was represented by Scott and Terry Evans and Kurt Griffin of Cushman & Wakefield. The landlord was represented by Jay Dick of CB Richard Ellis.
* Frank D. Lanterman Regional Center, a nonprofit center for families with physically and mentally disadvantaged children, signed a 10-year $6-million lease for 40,655 square feet of office space at 3303 Wilshire Blvd. in Los Angeles. The landlord, United Teachers Los Angeles, was represented by Rob Fuelling of Investment Development Services, along with Phil Sample and Chris Runyen of Grubb & Ellis. Brian Davies of CB Richard Ellis represented the tenant.
* Amar Plaza Partners acquired a 150,231-square-foot business park called Amar Business Center at 16030 Amar Road in Industry for $5.6 million from Principal Mutual Life Insurance Co. Kerry L. Cole and David A. Martinson of Daum Commercial Real Estate Services represented the seller. The buyer was represented by Steve Fry of Fry Investments.
* Joseph A. and Daniela D’Angelo bought a 37-unit apartment building at 9351 Flower St. in Bellflower for $2 million from Flower Apartments. Both the buyer and the seller were represented by Juan E. Cardenas of American Capital Realty.
* C.M.E. Wire & Cable signed a seven-year $1.9-million lease for 46,306 square feet of industrial space at 8728 Dice Road in Santa Fe Springs. The tenant was represented by Chuck Brill of Daum. The landlord, Barnard Co., was represented by Laird Perkins and Garrett Carter of CB Richard Ellis.
