Stayner’s Offer
As a friend of Joie Armstrong, I am grievously offended by “Yosemite Suspect Apologizes, Seeks to Aid Victims’ Families” (Aug. 21). Cary Stayner is a depraved sociopath, a fiend, a monster. The fact that he imagines selling “his story” for public consumption only shows what a sick culture this is. Who wants to read or view his story? The prurient, perverted and wannabe executioners of more women.
The idea of the families of any of his murdered and defiled victims accepting money from Stayner’s “story” is an affront to their dignity and humanity. If anyone profits from that story, it will be the purveyors of violence for profit.
