Aug. 31, 1972: Nolan Ryan pitched his third consecutive shutout, a 4-0 victory over Detroit, to tie a club record.
Sept. 1, 1979: Carney Lansford equaled a club record by hitting three home runs in a 7-4 victory at Cleveland.
Sept. 3, 1966: Jim Fregosi and Paul Schaal each stole home in a 7-6 victory against Washington.
