Ford’s Future: Jacques Nasser, president and chief executive of Ford Motor Co., will address a Town Hall Los Angeles forum at noon today at the Marriott hotel downtown. Nasser, on the West Coast to review the troops at Ford’s Lincoln and Mercury divisions in Irvine, will discuss “The Transformation of Ford.” The Dearborn, Mich.-based auto maker, second only to General Motors Corp. in worldwide sales, recently added the car operations of Volvo of Sweden to a global stable that includes Jaguar and Aston Martin of Britain and a controlling interest in Mazda Motor Corp. of Japan.

Price Report: The Labor Department today issues the January producer price index, which is a measure of how much manufacturers are paying for materials before the products reach consumers. The report is expected to show a decline to 0.2% from 0.4% in December.
