Residents trying to call City Hall to find out about the latest road closure or talk to a council member have often just heard annoying busy signals. But those days may be over now that the City Council has agreed to spend $38,000 to improve City Hall’s telephone system. More lines will become available, which means a greater chance of getting through to an operator, said Deputy City Manager Sanford Groves. “It won’t eliminate the busy signal, but it will improve the system dramatically,” Groves said.
