Encino Crespi 18, Woodland Hills West 13--Marshall Plouffe and Brian Horwitz each drove in five runs and Encino Crespi scored nine runs in the eighth inning of a District 20 playoff game at Birmingham High.

Encino Crespi (20-10) collected five hits and five walks during the inning to overcome an 11-9 deficit.

Plouffe finished with four hits. Matt Wilson and Jonathan Oller each added three hits for Encino Crespi.

Conor Jackson had four hits, including a home run, for Woodland Hills West (20-9), which was eliminated. Ryan Gunches hit a three-run homer in the third and Matt Schwartz doubled to finish the season with a 19-game hitting streak.

Ojai-Santa Paula 17, Ventura 8--Nathan Pierce had four hits and drove in five runs to help Ojai-Santa Paula win a best-of-three District 16 18-and-under playoff series, two games to one, at Ventura College.

John Hill had four hits and three RBIs and Brian Bronk added three hits for Ojai-Santa Paula (25-5-1), which will play Camarillo in the district championship game today at Camarillo High.

Jeff Staniland had four hits and three RBIs for Ventura (15-14).
