OXNARD — An Oxnard man remained in serious condition Sunday after being struck by a car while crossing the street, officials said.
Teodorico Salas, 50, was crossing Oxnard Boulevard north of Ash Street just after 1 a.m. Sunday when he was injured.
Scott Tenzer, 20, of Malibu, was southbound when he hit Salas.
Salas was taken to St. John’s Regional Medical Center in Oxnard, where he is listed in serious condition with internal injuries and a fractured leg, officials said.
Salas had been drinking, according to police, but there was no sign that the driver was under the influence of alcohol. Tenzer was not cited or arrested.
