THE SAFETY ZONE: ACTION LOG
The Times Orange County publishes a daily list of police incident reports provided by local law enforcement agencies. The Times prints items as soon as departments make them available. Because many departments release incident reports only weekly, not every community will be represented in each day’s Action Log. Authorities from the following cities released incident reports Wednesday:
BREA
* Imperial Highway: A petty theft was reported in the 300 block at 2:52 p.m. Tuesday.
* Imperial Highway at Laurel Avenue: A burglary was reported at 6:45 p.m. Monday.
* Birch Street: A petty theft was reported in the 600 block at 8:49 p.m. Monday and a battery was reported in the 200 block at 8:27 p.m. Monday.
BUENA PARK
* 8th Street: Police were unable to locate four juveniles who reportedly threw rocks from a school rooftop in the 7200 block at 7:42 p.m. Sunday.
DANA POINT
* Cordova Drive: A robbery alarm in the 24000 block was triggered at 12:38 p.m. Tuesday.
FOUNTAIN VALLEY
* Hyde Court: Someone entered a home through a sliding glass door and stole $1,000 from a purse in the kitchen in the 15900 block. The owner chased the burglar out of the complex but lost sight of him at 3:43 a.m. Thursday.
HUNTINGTON BEACH
* Newland Street: A 12-year-old boy broke the lights on his family’s car in the 16700 block at 4:33 p.m. Sunday.
LA PALMA
* Hummingbird Crescent: Report of vandalism in the 8100 block at 12:11 a.m. Monday.
LOS ALAMITOS
* Farquhar Avenue at Maple Street: Report of a man who exposed himself to two youngsters at 6:13 p.m. Friday. Police were unable to locate the man.
ORANGE
* Chapman Avenue at Prospect Street: An abandoned vehicle was reported at 8:27 p.m. Tuesday.
* Orange Avenue: Fireworks were reported in the 8000 block at 11:30 p.m. Tuesday.
PLACENTIA
* Palm Circle: The police reported that shots were fired in the 1000 block at 12:18 a.m. Sunday.
* Golden Way: An abandoned vehicle was reported in the 700 block at 5:08 p.m. Sunday.
SAN CLEMENTE
* Paseo de Cristobal: A report of a suspicious person in the 300 block Tuesday at 11:10 p.m.
SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO
* Ortega Highway: A robbery alarm in the 27000 block was triggered at 11:18 a.m. Tuesday.
* Doheny Park Road: A report of a suspicious person in the 33000 block at 12:49 p.m. Tuesday.
SEAL BEACH
* 2nd Street and Marina Drive: Report of a reckless driver at 6:31 p.m. Monday.
* Seal Beach Boulevard: Report of a petty theft near the Rossmoor Center Way at 8:06 p.m. Monday.
TUSTIN
* Red Hill Avenue: Six juvenile skateboarders refused to leave a gas station in the 14000 block at 10:59 p.m. Saturday.
VILLA PARK
* Center Drive: Report of an audible burglar alarm in the 9000 block at 3:22 p.m. Tuesday.
YORBA LINDA
* La Palma Avenue: A burglary was reported in the 22300 block at 7:46 p.m. Saturday.
Authorities from the following cities did not release incident reports Wednesday: Anaheim, Costa Mesa, Cypress, Fullerton, Garden Grove, Irvine, Laguna Beach, Laguna Hills, Laguna Niguel, Laguna Woods, La Habra, Lake Forest, Mission Viejo, Newport Beach, Santa Ana, Stanton and Westminster.
