LA HABRA

Elsa Garcia, a junior at La Habra High School, has been selected to attend the 1999 Princeton Summer School of the Junior Statesmen Foundation. Garcia is one of 200 outstanding high school students in the nation chosen to study government, institutions, political issues and speech communications at Princeton University in New Jersey. The award is based on scholarship, leadership and interest in politics. Garcia is president of the Mecha Club and tutors at Rosie’s Garage, an after-school program, in La Habra.
