Honeywell Inc., which this week agreed to be bought by AlliedSignal, said it plans to buy closely held C&K; Systems for an undisclosed price to boost its security products division. Folsom, Calif.-based C&K; Systems, which makes sensors, control panels, radio frequency operations and closed-circuit TV systems, sells products in 61 countries.

To the owners of the Sears Tower and the Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur, heads up. Chicago-based European American Realty Ltd. filed plans to erect a 112-story skyscraper that would reinstate Chicago as the home of the world’s tallest building. The building would rise 1,537 feet. The Sears Tower is 1,450 feet tall and the Petronas Towers in Malaysia reach 1,483 feet.
