Lancaster Puts in Extra Duty
Lancaster and San Bernardino were tied, 4-4, after 11 innings Friday night in front of a season-high 4,961 at the Ranch.
The JetHawks scored three unearned runs. Alex Fernandez scored the tying run from second in the sixth inning when shortstop Eric Riggs threw away Scott Maynard’s ground ball.

The Dodgers promoted Brent Cookson (Santa Paula, Ventura College) from Albuquerque. He substituted in left field for Gary Sheffield and delivered his first hit for the Dodgers in the ninth.

Rob Crabtree (1-4, 5.24 ERA), from Cal State Northridge, was demoted from triple-A Fresno of the Pacific Coast League to double-A Shreveport of the Texas League by the San Francisco Giants.
