The Leisure World Residents Reform Committee met for the first time Wednesday to present key portions of its plan advocating changes in the management structure and purchasing practices of the gated community. The group is proposing that the four governing boards overseeing Leisure World be restructured; they are the Golden Rain Foundation, which manages the amenities, and the three groups representing residents: United and Third Mutuals, and the Towers. The committee also is demanding a moratorium on all capital improvement projects, with the exception of a proposal to build new walls around the community.
